Climate Resilient Youth Generation
is a 15 month project, funded from the Small Grants Programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s UNDP Global Environmental Facility (GEF): “Climate Resilient Youth Generation” is organised by Güneşköy in cooperation with Anadolu Meraları and MA Ecology Consultants, addressing the needs of young people in rural setting to provide them with a chance to create a climate-resilient life. on sustainable development has a to support countries with simultaneous eradication of poverty and significant reduction of inequalities and exclusion, by catalysing environmental finance for sustainable development.
Why
Even though young people are becoming increasingly aware of environmental issues and the climate crisis, their life choices generally do not reflect this, as they are unable to sensitively implement what they have learnt in education or professional training.
Aims
In the CRYgen project, young people from urban and rural settings will study various disciplines related to sustainability and the environment, identifying opportunities and challenges in the city and in the countryside, so they they can use their knowledge with an environmental oriented approach.
The ultimate goal of the project is to ensure that young people who are interested in sustainability and concerned about climate change in the city and in the countryside develop experience, while also providing a civilian initiative building a link between rural and urban areas.
