    Roof done!

A good roof, so dry in the rain which will be easily harvested.  The nearest viaduct, V9, is nearly complete too. Our V10 will start soon.

8000m2 ploughed and ready for planting.

    Roof repair

Finally the roof is being repaired!  The rain will wash off, to be harvested rather than feeding fungi inside.

Opportunity to find courage: I finally found I could drive both ways in a single day!

    Spring cleaning

Mushrooms everywhere, mold wonderfully active in the warmer moist air.

Some of last seasons tomato products are "growing".  Now transferred to our small compost, the probiotics can perform their best, under a blanket of cabbage leaves.

    Winter sunrise

A last night on the land during the semester break.  Time in our neighbouring village, with women and chldren - some who'd painted eggs with me 12 years ago.

    Slip sliding n freezing

Patches of snow on the northern sections of slopes highlight the landscape.  The car skids on village roads flooded with melt water.  Monday morning a sprinkling of fine snow granules

    Snowy last Sunday

How snow transforms - on all scales.  Cold, damp, white... obviously.  Stop and watch how light has changed, water finds a way, soil shapes as it soaks up melting snow.  Traces of recent past, anticipating possible futures

    If 25 years ago

Had I been told when I first moved to Turkey (2.12.1993) that I'd celebrate 25 years mucking out chickens, preparing worm food and playing multiplication cubes with a shepherd's daughter, I'd have been "dead chuffed" (extremely happy)!

    Steady rain, deeper understanding, shooting

British rain gets us talking about our aims

Later cameras come out to catch bites of life and thoughts.

    Changing variables

Temperatures drop as autumn creeps in.  How with the railway trough (the horizontal portion of the viaduct) affect the land 90m below?
